Lawrence Harris

​Lawrence Harris was born on May 25, 1955 to Mrs. Ruby Mae Harris-Atkinson and James Johnson in Bolton, MS.  He was the forth of six children.

​Lawrence accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savoir at an early age at Brownsville M. B. Church in Bolton, MS.  He graduated from Sumner Hill High School in 1974.

​With well over thirty years of work experience he was employed at Gulf States Canners, ABC Wood and Great Southern.

​Lawrence left this world peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  Lawrence leaves treasured memories with his devoted wife Jackie; four children, Lawrence Henderson (Talvia), Andrea Harris, Adrian Hawkins (Johnathann-deceased),  and Kelly Harris (Tamara); four grandchildren, LaDarrius Henderson, Ja'Kyla Hawkins, Jordan Henderson, and Addison Hawkins; two sisters, Ester Carter (Odell, Sr.-deceased) and  Christine Harris (Andre); two brothers, Herbert Harris (Joann) and Marvin Harris (Marie); one aunt, Mary Nichols; and a host of nieces and nephews who all love him dearly.

​He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Mae Harris-Atkinson, brother Izell Harris, brother-in-law Odell Carter, Sr., mother-in-law Irene Kelly, father-in-law Leon Kelly, Sr., son-in-law Johnathann Hawkins and father James Johnson.
