Curtis McClendon

The life of Mr. Curtis McClendon began January 13, 1961in Clinton, MS to the late Ms. Larerine McClendon and Mr. Savannah Lee.

Curtis was baptized at his home church, St. Paul United Methodist Church, at an early age. He attended Sumner Hill High School. He worked a long tenured position at Blurton Banks and Associates.

He loved to dance, fish, and spend time with family and friends. It was never a dull moment when he was around.

Mr. Curtis McClendon silently departed from this earth on April 22, 2026. Also preceding him: his wife, Linda Stasher McClendon; sisters, Lessie Mae Robinson, Geneva Robinson and Willie Ruth Stamps; and brothers, Lavell Barnes, Marvin McClendon, James McClendon, M. L. Oatis and Ruben Robinson.

While Curtis’ time on this earth has ended, he leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Curtis Palmer of Jackson, MS and Jeremy (Zaniah) McClendon of Raymond, MS; daughter, Loraine McClendon of Jackson, MS; a brother, Tommie (Sarah) McClendon of Clinton, MS; and four sisters, Velmae Windom of Mansfield, OH, Hattie Cavett of Clinton, MS, Ethel Thomas and Mertis (Charles) Wells of Jackson, MS. Curtis will be loving remembered by his 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
