David Barnes

David Earl “White Cloud” Barnes was born on July 14, 1961 to the late Emmett Barnes and Louella Johnson Barnes. He was the seventh of ten children and was blessed with a large, loving family whose memory and love will live on in them.

David was educated in the Clinton Public School District. After high school David later moved to California where he spent many years as a painter. In 2020, David moved back to Clinton where he lived until the Lord called him home on July 29, 2026.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Kedrin Barnes; daughter, Devin Barnes; stepdaughter, Ashley Barnes; sisters, Rhonda Barnes Keyes (a.k.a. “Nette”) and Lillie Grimsley (a.k.a. “Lynn”); brother, Ronnie Barnes (a.k.a. “Coe”); granddaughters, Raquel, Tamera, Samantha, Breeya, and Ashlyn; grandsons, TyRon and Dominic; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and cherished friends in California.

David will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched. His smile, his stories, and his unforgettable presence will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
