Ethel Mae Carter Palmer was born on January 13, 1958 to Marie Carter and Henry D. Carter. She was the seventh child of ten children.
Ethel accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Wells Grove M. B. Church until her health failed.
Ethel received her high school diploma from Sumner Hill High School in 1977. After graduation she attended Alcorn State University and American College. She loved shopping at Walmart and Kroger. Her favorite hobby was fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Ethel retired from Hunters Engineering after 25 years of service. Ethel was married to Arthur Palmer, Sr.
Ethel was preceded in death by: her mother, Marie Carter; father, Henry D. Carter, Sr.; brothers, Odell Carter, Sr., Ezell Carter, and Bernard Carter; nephew, Jamie Edwards; son-in-law, Kevin Clay; father-in-law, Sam Palmer; mother-in-law, Earnestine Palmer; and sister-in-law, Shirley Taylor.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband, Arthur Palmer, Sr; daughters, Mitarsha Carter (Dexter) and LaKindra Palmer (Xavier); sons, Arthur Palmer, Jr. (Cortney), Clifton Palmer and Larry Palmer; grandchildren, Kristopher Moore, Breanna Palmer, Ontarious Kevon, Kameron Clay, Eryan Palmer, LaCoria Brown, Christana Hassel and Brice Palmer; great granddaughter, KenZaria; and great dog, Marco Palmer; sisters, Diane Carter (Claude), Janice Sanders (Darrell), Anna Carter, Mary Hearn and Osie Carter; brothers, Charles Green (Minnie); Henry D. Carter, Jr. (Shirley), Kenneth Ray Carter (Barbara) Bennie Kelly (Lucretia), and Dexter Carter; brother-in-law, Bennie Palmer (Thelma); sisters-in-law, Esther Carter and Gloria Carter; special cousin, Mary Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
