Thurmond Bradley was born August 30, 1948 in Hinds County to the late W. D. Bradley Sr. and Mary Lessie Carter Bradley.

Thurmond attended Edwards Jr. High School where he received his formal education. He attended Hinds County Agricultural High School where in graduated in 1967 and went on to attend Utica Jr. College and graduated in 1970.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Carolyn Bunton Bradley and to his union two children’’, Anitra Latrice Bradley and Roderick Oneil Bradley, were born.
Thurmond joined the United States Army and retired as a sergeant. Thurmond went on and worked for Engelhard which is now BASF and retired after 30 years.
Upon retiring from Engelhard and the United States Army Thurmond found pure joy in doing things outside in his shop and doing tasks for others whether you chose to pay him or not. Now he took his time getting it done but he accomplished the projects “Well at least most of them”. He always found himself busy and those that knew him knew he was a jive talker full of conversation and smiles and always wanted the last word.
Thurmond later was joined in Holy Matrimony to Hazel Brown Bradley and to this union three children, Trish Bradley, Qunala Bradley and La-Wandra Bradley, were born.
Thurmond was called home on July 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by: his daughters, La-Wandra Bradley and Anitra Bradley; his son, Roderick Bradley; his mother, Mary Lessie Carter Bradley; father, W. D. Bradley, Sr., sister, Pattie Bradley Johnson; and brother Willie Earl Bradley.

D. Bradley Jr. and James (Cubby) Bradley; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
